As we move into another year of restrictions we will continue to loudly and proudly take up space, while unapologetically being ourselves, staying safe and socially distant. Although we won’t be gathering as we used to for the second year in a row, the Vancouver Pride Society invites you to #ChooseYourPride this summer.
This year is about expanding our understanding of queer celebration and the queer community. Pride doesn’t look the same for everyone and celebrating Pride means many things to many people. Maybe it’s celebrating on a COVID-friendly dance floor, reading a book, sharing family-friendly all-ages programming or attending an educational workshop! Whatever Pride means to you, you can #ChooseYourPride.
We have consulted with the City of Vancouver and the Parks Board, and are continuing to monitor PHOs. The plan is to offer a hybrid season of events that includes small, in-person COVID-safe events and online virtual offerings that provide choices for you and yours to safely enjoy.
