For 40 years the Progressive Housing Society (PHS) has been part of the Burnaby community.
That is why, in May, as part of the 40th Anniversary, PHS is taking their message and mission back to ‘to the streets’
with the first-annual Burnaby Scavenger Hunt Challenge.
“Scavenger Hunt Challenge
Saturday, May 14, 2022 – 9am to 5pm
The ‘Takin it to the Streets’ Scavenger Hunt Challenge is an all-access event providing participation opportunities
for those with cars through a car rally or for those that wish to participate in the family fun day on public transit.
Additionally, to meet the highest level of accessibility and inclusion for all, a virtual event will also be available.
The Best of Burnaby
PHS has been part of the Burnaby neighborhood for 40 years and we are showcasing Burnaby and all its bests. The
scavenger hunt route will highlight the-best-of-Burnaby and its landmarks, key businesses and institutions while also
including a line of our favorite restaurants as a food pickup point.
A Fun Day for All
The scavenger hunt will incorporate a carnival-like dynamic into every aspect of the day from the starting point
celebration, the 15 community checkpoints through to the celebration finale.
Takin it to the Streets Celebration Finale No rally is complete without community awards, food,
and beverages. At the end of the event at Burnaby’s own Metropolis at Metrotown, event awards will take
place followed by a live outdoor concert featuring Elvis Impersonator Darren Lee & The Memphis Flash.”
