It’s here! It’s finally here!
Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton has dropped his highly anticipated collaboration with the late, great, Chester Bennington (the duo had recorded the track back in April 1997).
The tune is called “Cross Off”, and it was co-written with Chester and features the late Linkin Park frontman, front and center on the vocals for the track.
This is the second single Mark has released off his debut solo album “Anesthetic”, which is due out March 1st.
When Mark was asked about working with Chester on the tune, this is what he had to say:
“I was really impressed for a guy at his level, at the place in the career he was at, someone of his stature and celebrity, to have that level of humility and commitment to come in there and treat this like it would be a Linkin Park song, or his own song or whatever.
I was pretty blown away by that. And it was immediate. Fifteen minutes after we met, we were standing over a table, one on either side, each with scraps of paper and pencil, crossing off words and trying different rhyme schemes and stuff.”
Here is the lyric video, in all its glory.
