WHL Roundup: Wednesday, December 11, 2019

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Ryan Chyzowski scored three consecutive goals in the third period and finished with four total to power the Medicine Hat Tigers to an 8-4 win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday in the Western Hockey League.

Brett Kemp had a pair of goals for Medicine Hat (22-8-1), and Cole Sillinger added a goal and four assists.

Spencer Moe led the Raiders (19-7-4) with two goals. Brayden Watts and Kaiden Guhle had the others.

Tigers goaltender Garin Bjorklund made 31 saves.

Boston Bilous started in net for Price Albert, allowing six goals on 30 shots through 46:51. Carter Serhyenko stopped 6-of-8 attempts the rest of the way.

Medicine Hat was 3 for 4 on the power play while the Raiders were 1 for 3 with the man advantage.

REGINA — Orrin Centazzo scored twice and Zane Franklin had three assists as Kamloops (19-9-3) doubled up the Pats (7-18-3).

WINNIPEG — Connon McClennon’s second of the game early in the third stood as the winner, Liam Hughes made 32 saves and the Ice (18-11-1) defeated Kelowna (17-9-3) for their fifth straight win.

OIL KINGS 3 BRONCOS 1

EDMONTON — Riley Sawchuck had a goal and an assist and Todd Scott made just 15 saves as the Oil Kings (20-6-7) handed Swift Current (6-20-3) its seventh loss in a row.

HURRICANES 4 REBELS 2

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Bryan Thomson stopped 30 shots and Justin Hall scored one goal and set up two more to lead the Hurricanes (19-9-5) over Red Deer (10-17-3).
