The Beaches played a toaster as a snare drum to get the sounds right for 'The Professional'

The Beaches are crossing Canada headlining before they head to the US for a rip with AWOLNATION. The band is touring their ep The Professional. They recorded this album with Jacknife Lee. Sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller, with Eliza Enman-McDaniel (Leandra Earl is sick and resting before the show) said that Jackknife helped them push their sound and had the group experimenting. Eliza said at one point she played a toaster as a snare drum.

Jordan talked about the song “Want What You Got” and how song is a literal reflection of scrolling through instagram. The group also talk about  dusting off old song ideas and modernizing them and growing their audiences in the US.
